He's better at everything that isn't code, and I'm okay with that. When we're done, he says, "Don't forget to email the preprint to my father. He'll want to see it."
"Why? He doesn't even like me."
"He likes ideas," Jian says. "If you want to win, you need the right enemies."
I'm not sure if he means his father or the entire world, but it doesn't matter. We're doing this. -
