Inferthermic

Chapter 4, Page 5 — 74 of 123

That last bit - the risky behavior reduction - that's the real niche I'm leaning into. While we're generating useful revenue from our standard alignment post-processing service, the safety angle is what gets Elad excited. And Elad's excitement is what keeps the lights on.

I lean back in my chair - still the same IKEA desk chair from my grad school apartment, because we're "capital efficient" - and survey the office. It's not much. A converted warehouse space in Oakland that smells like concrete and ambition. But it's ours.

Jian is at his desk, three monitors glowing with spreadsheets and code. He's been incredible. Absolutely essential. It's almost like he has a magic orb for coming up with new revenue streams. Somehow he's juggling his classes, an internship at Google, and still driving new leads and markets for Inferthermic. I don't know when he sleeps. I'm not sure he does.

Maddy's at the whiteboard, phone pressed to her ear, pacing as she talks. She's an absolute shark when it comes to emailing. I've never seen anyone convert leads like her. She has this way of making potential clients feel like they're missing out on something essential, like Inferthermic is the secret weapon they didn't know they needed.

Which, to be fair, we kind of are.
