I get another email, this one from a company called "Onboarding Coordinators LLC," which is apparently a real thing. The sender's profile photo is a cartoon cat. The body of the email has more legalese than my apartment lease, and I'm halfway through the first unbroken paragraph when I realize: none of these people work at Cencora. None of them work at Inferthermic, either. The world is now entirely managed by third-party vendors, and I haven't even touched the original math that got us here in three months. My entire day is back-to-back calls about "integration timelines" and "compliance SLAs." This is what success looks like.
